Croyde, North Devon is a magical place, the village is steeped in old-world charm, and echoing the feeling of life in Britain in the 30's and 40's, when things were easy going.

The beach at Croyde Bay in North Devon is located in Ruda Holiday Park. It's a beach of sand, huge dunes, and some rocks.

This is one of the most popular beaches in the South West for surfers, and there is also windsurfing, sailing and canoeing. The beach has a café/restaurant, toilets with facilities for disabled visitors, and disabled access to the beach. There are also many fantastic places to stay including some of the cosiest bed and breakfast places around.

There is deckchair hire, surfboard hire, first-aid, lifeguards, and a lost child centre. The beach has a dog restricted area, pay car parking, and there are nearby shops, camp site and a wildlife reserve. The lovely sand at the beach makes this a top venue for locals and holidaymakers.

More about the geography: Croyde beach lies between the headlands of Baggy Point to the north and Saunton Down to the south.

Croyde Bay is part of the larger Barnstaple or Bideford Bay - into which the rivers Taw and Torridge flow.
