Parkham Farms
We are makers of award-winning Westcountry Farmhouse Cheddar. Our story began in 1984 at Higher Alminstone Farm in North Devon. That’s when we started making the tasty cheddar that now fills the shelves of Tesco, Asda, Waitrose and Co-op. In our first year of production we made a modest 220 tonnes. But our rich, earthy taste was an instant hit and today we make around 4,000 tonnes a year. That’s a lot of cheese.
So how do we make it so tasty? Well, it could be that we have used the same cheese making processes since day one. Or maybe it’s the way we continue to use the same milk partners as when we first started. Or perhaps it’s the local touch. All of our milk is sourced from North Devon and made into cheese by staff who live just a stone’s throw from our farm.
