The inspector will highlight the major faults and features of the vehicle, but will not indicate repair costs in specific terms. Repairs and replacement panels will only be reported if work has not been carried out to a professional standard.

Of course it is always possible to find fault with just about any used car for the simple reason that it is used. There will always be minor cosmetic issues, but the least you should expect is that the vehicle is not unroadworthy, dangerous, or has a long list of major mechanical ailments. Your local Used Car Checks garage will point out the obvious defects, a chip here or scratch there, but more importantly they will be able to see beyond the apparently shiny paintwork, drawing your attention to those items you might have missed, under the bonnet or underneath the car itself.

Your IVEI Report and our Inspector will be able to tell you whether there is anything major to worry about. Or if there isn't. Even if you don't pour over the available paperwork we will and point out any gaps or discrepancies.
